Definition of A(H1N1)
>Previously knew as "Swine Flu"
>It's a is a respiratory disease caused by a new strain of influenza virus that spreads from human to human.
>Flu can be spread when an infected person coughs, sneezes, or speaks
>Flu viruses are transmitted into the air through droplets and other people breathe in the viruses. When these viruses enter the nose, throat, or lungs of a person, they begin to multiply, causing symptoms of the flu.

Diagnosis
>A respiratory specimen would generally need to be collected within the first 4 to 5 days of illness (when an infected person is most likely to be shedding the virus)

Vaccination
>Currently, no vaccine available to protect humans from Influenza A (H1N1)

>The seasonal influenza vaccine which is available in Brunei may not protect against H1N1 flu viruses
